Near Neston England
Date: July 1857
Time: evening
On the outskirts of town a young shepherd named Robert Clancy was tending his flock---and his sweetheart---when he noticed a round gleaming vessel sanding on three legs at the side of a field. A golden haired woman in unusual green clothes stood by the unearthly craft watching Clancy and his girlfriend for a while, then waved and climbed into the vehicle, which afterwards took off into the sky and headed northwards. For months afterwards, no sheep would graze on the spot where the craft had stood.

Girard-Green Ridge Illinois
Date: April 12 1897
Time: 1815
“A mile north of Green Ridge, a mining camp, a large crowd of people saw the airship settle in a grove. They hastened to investigate, but when they got within ½ mile it again rose & continued its northward journey. The Chicago & Alton night operator, who was hunting nearby, was close enough to discover a human being working about the airship, as if tightening some loosened machinery. The spectators say it was shaped like a boat, with oars extending on each side & a top similar to the canopy of a booth.” The newspaper accounts adds that a huge “M” and letters marked the craft, and that footprints & other ground traces were found at the site.

Lake Elmo, Michigan
Date: April 13 1897
Time: 2315
Two “traveling men,” F Chamberlain & O L Jones, were driving a 2-horse cart shortly after 2300 when they saw a man walking around in a clearing with a lantern. When they drove toward him the lantern disappeared, and they heard a rush of twigs & brush, then a rushing noise like wind. They then discerned in the moonlight “a long, high object of a gray white color, resembling the top of a schooner.” It bore 4 lights in 2 pairs, including red & green lights. It rose at a sharp angle so as to just clear the treetops. It went up all in a jiffy. “We were too surprised to get a good view.” At the site they found 14 prints, each 2 ft x 6”, manifestly the massive supports of the contrivance.”

Vilppula Finland
Date: Summer 1907
Time: unknown
Some boys playing on the lakeshore saw a bright light approach from the lake and land on the shore near them. A door appeared on the object, and some humanoids emerged. The boys panicked and ran to the rectory; only after some hours could they give a coherent story. Adults who visited the site found both landing traces and footprints on the sand.

Minsk, Belarus (USSR)
Date: early summer 1908
Time: daytime
In broad daylight many local residents heard a terrible roar and saw a bright fire appear in the sky and then an enormous “man”. The figure of the “man” seemed enormous and his feet touched the ground. After the figure of the giant man vanished local residents collected from the streets a large quantity of a substance resembling Jell-O. But once collected the substance would evaporate into thin air. The substance resembled gelatin or meat jelly, when touched it would shake and it was cold to the touch. No other information.

Caerphilly Mountains, Wales
Date: May 18 1909
Time: 2300
Mr. C Lethbridge, a dockworker was walking home over the mountain when, at the summit, he came across a tube shaped contraption on the grass, and two men working on something nearby. They wore “big, heavy fur coats, and fur caps fitted tightly over their heads.” Mr. Lethbridge went on, “I was rather frightened, but I continued to go on until I was within 20 yards of them. The noise of my little spring cart seemed to attract them, and when they saw men, they jumped up and jabbered furiously in a strange lingo.” Mr. Lethbridge became even more alarmed when the long object rose from the ground, and he was amazed when he saw the two “men” jump into a little carriage suspended from it. Tube, carriage, and “men” rose slowly
into the air in a zigzag fashion. When it was clear of the telegraph wires, two great lights shone out and the object sailed away towards Cardiff. The astonished witness said later he could clearly see two wheels at the bottom of the carriage, and a whirling fan at the tail. The next day trampled grass, torn newspapers, and a quantity of a substance like papier-mâché was found on the scene.

Alwernia, Poland

Soldier Boleslaw Lesniakiewicz had decided to spend the night at a ruined brickyard when around midnight a strange voice and the sounds of a little bell jingling woke him up. He got his rifle and stepped out of the brickyard. His horse was acting very uneasy. Suddenly he noticed a big, white dog like creature, which slowly came closer and closer. Overcome with fear he shot at the dog. At the same time a bright flash of blue-violet light illuminated him and he lost consciousness. When he woke up it was high noon. His horse was covered in strange foam. He suffered from strong headaches in the next two weeks.



Webster City Iowa
Date: July 1919
Time: 1100A
A young brother and sister were playing in a farm area when suddenly they heard a strange chirping sound resembling that of birds. They turned around and saw a brown green object beneath a tree near a creek. They ran towards it, and then noticed a tall figure wearing brown and green; he was stern looking and was standing at the door of the craft. This figure then made some strange guttural sounds, the witnesses then noticed a shorter figure wearing similar clothing running towards the stream. He ran very fast and scooped some water out of the stream in something resembling a tin can. The figure at the door apparently objected at him for taking the water. The taller figure then helped the short being into the object and slammed the door shut making a metallic sound. The craft then rose straight up very fast, hitting the top branches of several trees. Ground marks were found at the site.

Tuna, Sweden
Date: 1922
Time: evening
Rita Raninger (involved in other encounters) watched a metallic disc-shaped object on the ground at close range. Several man-like figures wearing tight-fitting dark frogmen’s suits were seen milling around the craft. It is said that after the object left metallic traces were found on the ground. No other information.

Arnhem Land, Northern Territories Australia
Date: 1931
Time: evening
A local aboriginal elder reported a UFO landing and aliens (undescribed) emerging from the object and abducting a 2-year old aboriginal child. Another UFO landed near a station and a woman who approached reportedly received a telepathic message from the aliens that they wanted to take her. The UFO left without the woman when the station manager emerged with a gun. The object left a circle on the ground that apparently can still be seen today.

Near Nipawin Saskatchewan Canada
Date: Summer 1933
Time: midnight
Following a week of reported lights in the area, a Nipawin woman and two men decided to investigate. Around midnight they drove out toward Lake Tobin, going as far as they could in their pickup truck; they set on foot toward a light on the ground in a boggy area and, at a distance of under a quarter mile, saw a large oval on legs, domed and brightly luminous giving off an orange glow that lit up the area. There was an open hatch and they saw about a dozen humanoid figures, less than 5 feet, moving up and down the ladder and engaged in a repair operation. They wore silvery suits and helmets like a ski mask. The 3 witnesses watched for about a half an hour, then left. Several days later they located the landing site and found traces, including four apparent landing gear marks, around a circle of scorched ground. A photograph was taken of the traces, but is no longer available.


West Yaroslavl Province, Russia
Date: 1938

A local grandmother named Marfa had gone to her cow barn when she stumbled upon a dwarf-like humanoid standing near the feeding trough staring at the cow. Meanwhile the cow was chewing hay peacefully. The woman was amazed as the humanoid took some hay with his hand and put it in his mouth, apparently mimicking the cow. The grandmother screamed and the alien turned around to look at her. At this point she noticed that he had a greenish face, he then dropped the hay and walked away. While walking he emitted a very peculiar noise that sounded like, “tsok, tsok tsok”, as if the alien was wearing horseshoes on his feet. The witness also noticed that the humanoid had a straight nose and wore tight-fitting cloths. Footprints resembling those of a horseshoe were found the next day. The other villagers laughed at the witness.

Zahara De Los Atunes Cadiz Spain
Date: July 1939
Time: noon
Several young children were resting in the shade under some large trees when some nearby goats became agitated and stampeded down a nearby hill. Soon a huge metallic disc shaped craft flew low above the witnesses emitting a strong heat wave. The craft descended and landed amidst a great cloud of dust on a nearby clearing, emitting a loud whistling sound as it touched the ground, the craft had a band of red, yellow and green lights around its edge. A door opened & a tall figure clad in a silvery metallic outfit, with headgear and a wide belt emerged, quickly followed by a shorter similarly dressed figure. They both walked in very stiff movements. Their silvery suit covered their faces and both had two black holes where the eyes should have been, both figures took out an object resembling a flashlight and walked 50 yards away from the object. They eventually returned into the object, which ascended at tremendous speed. Ground traces were said to have been found and were supposedly still visible in 1980.

The day before the great Winter War began, 14-year old Arvo was in the forest with his father collecting firewood. When it was getting to be twilight they headed home. Almost at once the boy noticed on the right side of the path, on a small rocky hill some 2-3 meters high, a strange device 3-4 meters in diameter. He assumed it was a moonshine factory and since he had never seen one before he wanted to have a look. His father however deterred him from approaching the object. He observed the device from a distance of about 70 meters. He described the device as being 3-4 meters in diameter, narrowing at the top, which was hidden by the dense firs. The bottom section was round like a kettle and it was about 2.5 meters in height, supported by perhaps three landing legs made of 2-3 rods ending in triangular plates, which he would observe later. From the bottom of the craft emanated a “dull” flame like that of an upside down candle, 1.5 meters long. From the sides of the lower section of the object shot out 5-6 strong flames of different colors angled at 45 degrees down and about 1 meter in length, emitting a loud noise resembling that of escaping gas. Standing outside the object was a 160cm tall human like creature, which was clad in an astronaut-like suit with a round helmet, which had an oval opening. It was carrying a box, which he was apparently using to “direct” 2 or 3 robot-like creatures, which had box-like heads. At least one of these robots lifted his legs very high when walking, so Arvo could see that the legs were like two rods below the knees ending in a plate. It was not possible to make a very accurate or detailed observation of their activities due to the twilight and covering trees. The next day the Winter War began, but Arvo went to the landing site, despite his father’s objections, which also refused to go fetch firewood with him. At the site where the object was seen there was a triangular mark of a support leg. There was also a strong, unpleasant smell in the area.

Faxinal de Sao Bras, Brazil
Date: 1940
Time: afternoon
9-year-old Sebastiana Roncador had gone to the goat pen in order to milk the animals when she noticed a strange luminous object resembling a “circus tent” on a nearby field. Curious she approached it and watch astonished as some type of “ladder” emerged from the object. The ladder moved in a way that it seemed to be “alive.” Soon several 1-meter tall creatures exited the object. The beings had a dark complexion with large frog like eyes, large round faces, large heads, huge pointy ears, and short necks. They wore tight fitting silvery outfits. The creatures approached the witness who ran frightened towards the house screaming. Her father ran out armed with a stick, which he threw at the creatures. These retreated back into the object. The craft then took off causing a huge cloud of dust to rise up and emitted flames from its bottom apparently burning the ground. At the site a black scorched circle was found and today nothing grows there.One of the goats was found apparently with a puncture wound and bleeding. The blood apparently coagulated and the animal died. Around the same time a local woman disappeared without a trace. Nothing was ever heard from her.

Location. Cussey-sur-L’Ognon, Haute-Saone, France
Date: end of June 1942
Time: 1600
Mr. & Mrs. Bonardi were resting not far from a field of corn where some peasants were working. The witnesses suddenly had their attention drawn to a sharp light, which filtered through the foliage of the underbrush. At the same time they felt a wave of heat. Soon a bluish oval object surmounted by a silver gray dome made its appearance. On the dome there were two vertical tubes, in the center of which a
frayed antenna was distinguished. The witnesses clearly saw some portholes and a tripod-like landing gear at the base of the object. Struck by the appearance, the peasants stopped working. The craft flew at about 10 cm from the ground and about 50 meters from the Bonardis, emitting a noise similar to a fan. Suddenly beams of light were emitted from the portholes at different intervals. As the object
approached very close to the witnesses they heard what sounded like murmuring noises coming from inside the craft. The UFO continued at a slow pace over the field and then suddenly took off vertically quickly disappearing into the sky. At the place where the object had almost landed a circle of flattened grass was found. The object was about 2 m to 2.50 m in diameter.

Date: 1943
Time: night
While performing their rounds two police officers were approached by an agitated youth that reported that he had seen a “flaming aircraft” fall into a nearby field. The men went to investigate the site
and found at about 200 meters away next to some trees a strange luminous disc shaped craft on the ground. Next to the object several tall figures appeared to be moving. The beings were described as very tall & wearing metallic suits. Their movements were very slow, & they carried what appeared to be metallic buckets. One of the police officers attempted to start their vehicle to leave the area but the engine would not turn on. After a while they observed the object depart at very high speed but at very low altitude almost hugging the ground. At that point they were able to start the car.

Date: November or December 1944
Time: 1300
An 11-year old girl looked through the window of her home and saw two 130-140 cm tall, strange beings coming from the nearby small forest. They carried what appeared to be miner’s torches and walked stooped in deep snow. Their faces were somehow diffuse. The girl told of her observation to her father and sister and they all went out to the yard to obtain a better look. On the field where the humanoids we re walking there were some ploughs covered with snow. When the humanoids came upon the ploughs they seemed to conversed among themselves by using'ringing’ like sounds. Then they turned around and walked back to the small forest.The next day the girl talked about her observation in the school to a boy who washer next-door neighbor, who lived on the other side of the small forest. The boy then stated that he also had seen the humanoids, and drew a picture of some kind of flying vessel, which he said the humanoids had entered and flew off. Some days later the girl went to investigate the footprints that the humanoids had left on the snow.They were round marks, unlike the marks left by normal shoes.

Location: Near Boyne Lake, Alberta, Canada
Date: 1945
Time: evening
In northeast Alberta a man and his half sister resided together on a farm east of boyne Lake. One evening, the sister went out to check the cattle, and has never been seen since. The farm dog that had gone with her returned to the house, burnt, no hair left. When the site was checked out a circle about 180 ft was discovered, which had been burnt into the ground. To this day nothing has ever grown there again. 14 cows were also burnt, but only two were discovered dead in the muskeg a little ways away from the circle. The television show “Unsolved Mysteries” filmed an episode of this mysterious disappearance about 10 years ago. Nothing has turned up since. The half brother and a sister are still alive.

Location. Aubisque region, Pau, Pyrenees, France
Date: November 1945
Time: evening
The mayor of a local small village was approaching his home when the lights and the engine of his Renault vehicle both died at the same time. At about 100 metersaway the witness noticed in a field a ‘strange disc shaped device’ restingon supporting crutches. It was completely surrounded by a purple colored haze,looking like a sheath whose thickness did not exceed one meter. At one extremity stood three or four figures, which because of the light, the witness could not distinguish in detail. They turned back to the object without hurrying themselves and without the witness knowing how, they entered it. The object then noiselessly departed. The witness was then able to re-start his vehicle. The next day he found that the bumper of his car was magnetized so that small metallic objects were attracted to it. Later his car so strongly adhered to a lamppost by which he had parked that he experienced difficulties in moving away.

Date: May 1946
Time: evening
Walking through woods in the evening, Gosta Carlsson (a prominent man in Sweden), found, in a clearing, a 16-meter disc shaped object with a cupola, in which were oval windows, and above which was a 5-meter periscope like mast. Beneath the disc was a big oblong fin stretching from the center to the edge, and 2 metal landing legs. Around the edge were a lot of holes, like those of a turbine. On the mast hung “something like a lampshade” from which flowed a pulsating purple light. Beside the craft, 30 ft from Carlsson, stood a slender man in white close fitting overalls, who raised his hand in warning, and several others, some of whom had apparently just finished repairing a window; 11 persons in all, including 4 women. None spoke. They wore short black boots and gloves, black belts, and transparent helmets; the men wore black caps, the women had “ashen colored” hair. The guard wore a black box on his chest. All were brown, as if sun tanned. One of the women came out of the cabin, went to the edge of the “wall of light”, and threw something beyond it, with a laugh. (The object, retrieved by Carlsson, was siliceous and “showed nothing exceptional” on investigation.) There was a smell resembling ozone. Carlsson went back to the shore, intending to approach the object from the other side. He saw a bright red light, and the object slowly rose above the treetops with a corona of red lights form the “turbine” holes, and a whining sound. At 400-500 meters it wobbled a bit, the red light changed to purple, and the object went off at tremendous speed. A ring and marks of the fin & legs remained, visible in aerial photographs of 1947 and 1963.

Several motorists driving near the village encountered a woman shaped figure encased in a blue halo, several vehicles engines reportedly stalled as they came close to the figure. No other information.

Date: August 1946
Time: 2030
An unidentified young man saw a strange looking object shaped like a pan near the road. Close to the object was a small entity or being holding an acacia branch. The being then entered the object through some opening in its underside. The witness was terrified. Afterwards, examination of the site disclosed traces of burning on the ground.

Date: August 14 1947
Time: night
An elderly shepherd saw a large fiery orange colored object, with multicolored lights land 400 meters away on a field. Soon an opening became visible on the object. A small humanoid then came out. The humanoid walked around the craft then proceeded to pick up some stones from the ground. Soon he re-entered the object, which shot up into the sky at incredible speed. Burnt vegetation and rocks were found at the site.

Date: 1948
Time: morning
While strolling near a creek one morning, Mr. Ottaviano A. Souza Bueno observed the silent descent of a round luminous object on one of the banks of the stream. There emerged from it 3 creatures of less than medium height, with extremely rapid movements, who started collecting samples of soil, using a tube which made holes in the ground. After the UFO had left, the witness went to the spot and found that all the holes were perfectly square. He took a sample and had it analyzed; the result was, Silica, 61% Aluminum, 19%, Magnesium, 11%, Iron and other trace elements, 9%.

Location. Hemer Sauerland Germany
Date: Summer 1948
Time: morning
A shepherd was guarding his flock of sheep in an isolated grassy area when suddenly the animals scattered in a panic. He heard a rushing sound and saw a large metallic domed object emerge from what appeared to be an artificial fog and land nearby. The witness approached the object and touched it; he felt a strong electrical shock and was knocked unconscious. The witness later woke up and found himself on a different field surrounded by several short entities, described as having large heads, large slanted almond shaped eyes, narrow mouths and small noses, they had bulging foreheads with short stubby hair. They all had boxes on their chests with tubes protruding from it. At times they appeared to grasp the tubes and breath into it. The beings gesticulated and spoke among themselves in an unknown language. Nearby sat the object still encased in a mist. Next to the craft stood five other humanoids that began collecting soil samples and placing them into large containers. Finally all the humanoids re-entered the object, which took off at high speed emitting a loud whining sound. Burnt spots were found at the scene where the object was said to have landed.

Location. Lineville Alabama
Date: Fall 1948
Time: morning
The witness (a woman who wishes to remain anonymous) was drawing water from a well when an object (a round, luminous ball) landed in an adjacent cornfield. Two longhaired, bearded men got out, wearing long robes with a sash around the middle, and one of them came up and spoke to her in accented English. “He told her not to be afraid, and assured her she would not be harmed if she would cooperate and answer some simple questions.” After about half an hour’s conversation, she fled into the house, where the second humanoid was standing in the doorway; they left, and she saw the UFO ascend. In the cornfield was a flattened and scorched area. The witness “only spoke of the incident when forced to do so.”
